The Fractional Program

Real ownership. Simple terms. Professional operation.

How a Stratus program works: how you hold your share, how you book a trip, and what you pay.

Ownership structure

How you own your share

Each aircraft is owned in four equal 25% shares. Each share is held by its own single-member LLC.

You own the LLC. The LLC holds a deeded 25% interest in the aircraft. Your share is a real asset with your name on the paperwork, not a membership or a prepaid card.

Stratus Capital acts as manager of the owner LLCs and handles program administration, so owners have one point of contact.

Getting started

How it works

  1. Talk it through

Tell us how and where you fly. We'll walk through the program, pricing and timing.

  2. Reserve your position

A reservation deposit holds your position in the next program.

  3. Purchase or lease

Buy a 25% share outright, or lease a share with an option to own.

  4. Sign and fly

Terms are set in definitive agreements. After closing, you schedule trips with the operator's team.

Scheduling

Available for trips booked within 7 days of departure.

Up to 100 flight hours or 70 use-days a year per 25% share

Flexibility

Options going in, and a way out

Purchase or lease

Buy a 25% share. Or lease a share with an option to own. A lease can convert to a purchase at any time.

Charter when you're not flying

When owners aren't using the jet, the operator may fly it on charter. That helps offset maintenance costs. Owner trips booked more than 7 days out come first.

A clear exit

Other owners get a right of first offer. You can sell to a qualified third party. During the first five years, Stratus offers a structured buy-back option.

FAQ

Common questions

How does the LLC structure work?

Each 25% share is held by its own single-member LLC. You own the LLC, and the LLC holds a deeded 25% interest in the aircraft. Stratus serves as manager of the owner LLCs and handles program administration. Your attorney and CFO get the full agreements to review before you sign.

Who flies and maintains the aircraft?

A professional aircraft management company that holds an FAA Part 135 certificate. For our current Learjet 40XR, that partner is Sky Quest, a Cleveland-based management and charter company. Sky Quest handles crew, maintenance coordination, scheduling and charter operations. The Stratus program is built to work with other qualified management companies and aircraft types as it grows. Stratus Capital is not an air carrier and does not operate flights.

What's included in the monthly fee and hourly rate?

The flat monthly fee covers crew, hangar, insurance, training, management, dispatch and required software. The flat hourly rate includes fuel, reconciled to actual, and the engine maintenance program. Pricing and current availability on request.

How does scheduling work?

Each share includes up to 75 flight hours or 60 use-days a year, bookable first come, first served up to 365 days ahead. Another 25 hours or 10 days can be booked within 7 days of departure. That's up to 100 hours or 70 days a year.

Does the aircraft fly charter?

Yes, when owners aren't using it. The operator may fly the aircraft on charter, which helps offset maintenance costs. Owner trips booked more than 7 days out take priority over charter.

What happens at maintenance time?

The operator coordinates all maintenance. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and parts are covered by the program, not billed to you per event. Repositioning the aircraft to maintenance isn't billed either.

Can I lease first?

Yes. You can lease a share with a lease-to-own option. The lease can convert to a purchase at any time.

How do I exit?

You have three paths. Other owners have a right of first offer. You can sell to a qualified third party. And during the first five years, Stratus offers a structured buy-back option. The details are in the program agreements.

The current jet is fully subscribed. Can I still get in?

Yes. Join the waitlist for the next aircraft program. A reservation deposit holds your position in the next program.
